About Basecamp….

Web Ventures ….

Each new web venture is an adventure, as much exploration and discovery as business.

Web sites have always been about marketing first, techie stuff second.  After all, the impression your visitor gets when first visiting your site is what sticks.

I’ve been designing web sites for business since 1995.  In 1996 I began teaching web design for several training providers.  What did I teach? Well, first, understand your target market and the desired outcome of a visit. Then, how do you implement the site and get it to perform.

In the last 4-5 years the web has changed dramatically.  A brochure web site that merely broadcasts the merits of your company and product labels you as behind the times.  The era of the corporate image has passed.  We are now in the era of personas and relationships.

Your web site is now a business relationship building tool.  I work closely with clients to help design a site and strategy as a foundation for building solid relationships for the long term.

The Meaning of the Mountain …

I live in the mountains of Colorado,  at the top of Conifer Mountain at 9,600 feet.  I am an avid skier and a former rock climber.  And I have been to the Everest Base Camp.  In the 1980′s, along with seven others and dozens of sherpas and yaks, I trekked for 4 weeks from the base of the mountains outside Kathmandu up to the base camp at 17,000 feet.
